Hello everybody.
I'm Jack Sheldon and, as a self proclaimed cricket tragic, I have been posting my thoughts on the wonderful game on various forums for the last couple of years. However, I've decided it's time to form my own blog and here at The Pavilion I plan to post my musings and opinions on the issues which are being talked about both here in England and around the cricketing world.
I'd like to start by telling you a bit about me. I am 18 years old and live in London - allowing Lord's to be my local international cricket venue where I can support what I can now call the number 1 side in the world!! I have been interested in cricket from a very young age - I remember watching England destroy the Windies in two days when I can only have been 6 - but my interest exploded after my Mum finally gave in and bought me Sky Sports a few years ago. I watch every match shown on Sky and also play club cricket for a local team. My batting is average at best so I spend a lot of time watching my team mates from the metaphorical pavilion - part of the reason that I chose this title for my blog.
I hope that people will enjoy this blog and that I will enjoy writing it. Bye for now
P.S. I have tried to find an original name for the blog and it is nigh on impossible with the high number of such sites. However, I can't find another blog titled the Pavilion anywhere on the net (though I'm sure there probably is one)
